| We thought you might be interested in meeting a couple more of the players who make the 1000 Badges Club forum such a great place to be. After all, this club is all about people helping people to get the most out of each game… and to feel welcome and special, an attitude we’ve seen every time we’ve visited the forum. If there was a badge for being awesome, these folks would have earned it many times over.
Meet a member Here are two more diehard “badgers” with fun personalities, game tips to share, and totals that are nothing short of impressive.
Ginasue_2
MSN Games: Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Ginasue_2: Well, I’m a 59-year-young woman. I have one daughter and three grandkids, ages 10, 3 and 11 months. I have been around gaming since back in 1985 when I got my first computer. At that time there was no internet, and all games came on floppy disks! [Editor’s note: aren’t you glad we don’t have to use those any more? I sure am!] I was a secretary for 25 years, and then after retiring, I would work at sales stores. I enjoyed meeting people and being able to help them out.
MSN Games: What is your MSN Games nickname and how did you pick it?
Ginasue_2: My nickname is Ginasue_2, and Ginasue has always been my nickname on the Internet. It was my name that my Grandfather called me.
MSN Games: What are some of your favorite games to play on MSN Games and why?
Ginasue_2: Some of my favorite games to play are Chainz 2 and Cubis 2. I have always liked those types of games, and I have made Life Time Total 10 in Cubis 2.
MSN Games: In which game(s) did you achieve your 1000th badge?
Ginasue_2: Tradewinds 2, I got an Lifetime Level 1 in it.
MSN Games: Do you have any game tips to share with other players?
Ginasue_2: When I have game tips that I can share with others I usually post them into the 1000 badge club thread! I did post about one recently, it was for Rocket Mania, and I was letting people know that on the last level, if you let the timer run out, any coins you have collected will be added to your score. This way you get those extra points that might be needed for a badge.
MSN Games: How long have you been playing on MSN Games?
Ginasue_2: I was a member of MSN Games back before badges even came out. Back when we had the star system. Still wish all my stars had been transformed to badges.
MSN Games: Currently, what is your total badge count?
Ginasue_2: As of today, in answering this email, my badge total is 1159, but I will be playing a couple more games tonight, so that total will go up a bit.
MSN Games: What is your favorite badge and why?
Ginasue_2: Well it’s kind of hard to say what one is my favorite, cause there all special, but I love the animated ones the best, each one does a special thing, and I enjoy just clicking on them now and then to watch them. I do wish all badges for each game had animated that matched the game!
MSN Games: Which badge was the hardest for you to win and why?
Ginasue_2: The hardest badge for me to win has really been two badges. The Life Time Level ones in both Dynasty and Luxor:-Amun Rising.
MSN Games: Any other thoughts/tips you would like to share with the community?
Ginasue_2: Badges can be fun to earn, but it’s not really the badges that count, it’s the fun you have getting them. After a long day, you can come home, get on your computer and for a few hours forget everything else but sit there in front of your computer relaxing. Just using your brain, to figure out your next move, sit there and let everything else not brother you.
ThinUnicycle
MSN Games: Tell us a little bit about yourself.
ThinUnicycle: I guess you would call me the Founder of the 1000 Badges Club since I’m the one who started the thread on the Forums. I am an “old school” paper and dice RPG player who later turned to online games, specifically The Realm for a few years while in college, but since decided to focus on our family and my career. However, the MSN Game Zone has provided a healthy outlet for me to unwind and have some fun. It is always available and I find myself using it to take a break from the otherwise tediums of life.
MSN Games: What is your MSN Games nickname and how did you pick it?
ThinUnicycle: “ThinUnicycle” was one of the names automatically generated as a choice, but I DO actually ride a unicycle, so it is appropriate.
MSN Games: What are some of your favorite games to play on MSN Games and why?
ThinUnicycle: It’s hard to pick out favorites especially because the goal of the 1000 Badges Club is to get as many badges as possible, so I think the consensus is more likely to be games we can’t stand rather than faves. Any game where ML 10 is impossible, or the number of levels is limited, thus preventing us from obtaining ML 10, automatically falls into this dreaded category.
MSN Games: In which game(s) did you achieve your 1000th badge?
ThinUnicycle: I got my 1000th badge in Text Twist.
MSN Games: Do you have any game tips to share with other players?
ThinUnicycle: Most of the game tips we gather can be found on the club thread. We try to focus on the badges that are up for the weekly challenges, but the thread serves as a great database of tips and tricks if you use the search function and look for the name of the game.
MSN Games: How long have you been playing on MSN Games?
ThinUnicycle: I have had an account with MSN Games for a few years now, but I didn’t start trying to earn badges until June of 2006. I was able to earn the 1000 badges in less than 5 months, so it IS possible to accomplish in a reasonable amount of time.
MSN Games: Currently, what is your total badge count?
ThinUnicycle: I currently have over 1330 badges and am still adding to this count regularly.
MSN Games: What is your favorite badge and why?
ThinUnicycle: My favorite badge is “The Bell Tolls” from Shape Solitaire because it is the only one that has sound… and why is that…?
MSN Games: Which badge was the hardest for you to win and why?
ThinUnicycle: The hardest badge to earn for me was the LTP 8 badge for Dynomite since I was trying to get my ML 9 badge and passed 500 games and still don’t have it… YET!!
MSN Games: Any other thoughts/tips you would like to share with the community?
ThinUnicycle: The main goal of the 1000 Badges Club was to encourage players to earn an obscene number of badges, once thought unachievable, and share in the camaraderie of the club on the Forums. This has been a good outlet for expression and sharing of ideas, tips, and strategies. We are able to encourage each other and help people figure out how to earn badges and have continuous fun in the MSN Games Zone… THX!!
