Pirate Poppers Tips and Strategies |

| Basic hints for landlubbers | |
| If you can’t use the sphere loaded in your cannon, don’t forget to right-click and swap the current color with the next one in line. You can tell the next color by looking at the cannonball stack to right of the cannon. | |
| You get bonus points for making multiple matches, so it pays to set up a chain reaction rather than just make one match at a time. For example, if you see a group of two red spheres followed by two blue spheres, shoot a blue sphere in front of the red group. That way when you clear the red group, the front blue sphere will roll back for a second match! | |
| Don’t panic if the spheres get too close to the end of the path! Remember, the spheres push from the back, so you can buy yourself time by making matches further back in the line. If you create a gap with spheres of the same color on either side of it, the spheres will attract each other, thus pulling the front part of the chain away from the end. | |
| Lead your target with the cannon! Instead of aiming where a sphere currently is, aim where it will be on the screen a second or two later. Keep in mind that sometimes obstacles on the board could block your shot and that lines move fastest when they are first entering the screen. | |
| Use those power-ups! | |
| The key to winning at Pirate Poppers is understanding what power-ups to use. Be on the lookout for the following power-ups and try to catch them with your cannon. | |
| · Stern Wind – Pushes all spheres back | |
| · Drop Anchor – Stops the line for several seconds | |
| · Prisoner’s Pace – Slows down the line for several seconds | |
| · Super Cannon Ball – Clears all spheres in a straight line | |
| · Explosive Cannon Ball – Clears all nearby spheres wherever it hits | |
| · Chameleon Ball – Acts as a “wild” sphere by taking the color of whatever sphere it hits | |
| | |
| If your current sphere has been replaced with a power-up, you can save it for later use by cycling to the next sphere and using that one instead. Don’t use a power-up just because you have it; planning the best time to release it is key to maximizing your advantage. | |
