“Can I turn off the sound in a game?”

Click the in-game Mute button

Some games have a Mute button in the lower right corner of the game window. Click the Mute button to turn the in-game sound on or off.

Click the Speaker icon

If the game you are playing has a speaker icon, click it to toggle the sound on or off.

“Disable the Sound” option in the Menu

Some games have a menu option, in which you can disable or turn down the sound. Click the menu to locate the sound option.

Adjust the volume for games powered by Macromedia® Shockwave or Flash Player

If the game you are playing is powered by Macromedia Shockwave and does not have an Options or Customize menu, you may be able to manually adjust the volume in the game.

Step 1

Open your game and allow it to load.

Step 2

Right-click anywhere in the game and a pop-up menu should appear.

Step 3

Move the mouse pointer to Adjust Volume and another pop-up menu will appear.

Step 4

Click Mute to turn off the sound, or choose a smaller number to lower the sound volume.
