| Temporarily turn of firewall software | |
| | |
| | Firewalls help prevent unauthorized Internet users from accessing private networks that are connected to the Internet. Occasionally a firewall conflict may cause this error message. | | | |
| | Step 1 | |
| | | |
| | Locate the icon for the firewall program in the notification area at the far right of the taskbar by your system’s clock (the system tray). | |
| | | |
| | Step 2 | |
| | | |
| | Right-click the icon, and then click Disable.
Note: If you do not see the Disable option, contact the manufacturer of the firewall or security software for help. | |
| | | |
| | | |
| | Step 3 | |
| | | |
| | Open the game and see if the error message still occurs.
If you no longer receive the error message after your turn your firewall software off, contact your firewall manufacturer for assistance on how to avoid firewall conflicts.
