“Game Unavailable” error

If you encounter this error while loading a game, try following the steps below.

Cancel game

First, try closing and reopening the game. You may also need to close your Messenger chat window.

Adjust Internet Options settings

This problem may occur from out-of-date files.

Step 1

Close all browser windows and click Start and then Control Panel.

If the Control Panel window is empty, click View all Control Panel Options in the left section of the window to show all the icons.

Step 2

Open Internet Options.

You may need to click the Network and Internet Connections icon before clicking Internet Options.

Step 3

In Windows XP with Internet Explorer 6.0, on the General tab in the “Temporary Internet files” section, click Delete Files.

In Windows Vista or for systems with Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher installed, click Delete in the "Browsing history" section and then Delete Files in the "Temporary Internet files” section.

Click Yes or OK to remove these files.

Step 4

Next, click Delete Cookies and then Yes or OK to remove these files.

In Windows Vista or for systems with Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher installed, close the Delete Browsing History window when completed.

Step 5

Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

Uninstall the ActiveX control

If problems persist, it is likely that the ActiveX software required to play this game is corrupted and will need to be manually removed from your system. For directions on removing this software, see the following article:
